Created as a martial art, it is now well known for its countless health and wellbeing benefits, therefore our focus will be on practicing the Health and Meditation aspects of the art.

The constant practice of Tai Chi will help to awaken and cultivate your internal energy, promoting greater focus, vitality, balance (inner and outer), coordination, concentration and most importantly: provide the method whereby to cultivate the mind.

Everyone, regardless of age or ability can practice. The exercises are gentle in nature and can have a healing and transforming effect on your mind and body.

Thanks to this Tai Chi Class in the heart of London, you will learn the first part of the 37 posture Cheng Man-ch’ing Yang short form. These movements are practice in a slow, calm motion and are gentle in nature. We will go through the basic elements that will help you in your practice such as relaxation, alignment, breathing and mind instructions.

In this course you will:

  • Practice and gradually learn the beginning of the Cheng Man-ch’ing T’ai Chi sequence of movements.

  • Learn to observe and relax the breath in stillness and action.

  • Gain an understanding of the principle of relaxation in action.

  • Discover the element of meditation in movement.

  • Learn to safely practice some Chi Kung movements.

  • Cultivate inner calm.

  • Feel energy-nourished.

Hanna Luna

Hanna has been practising qigong, Tai chi and Tibetan healing exercises in London since 2004 and teaching since 2012.

Having drawn from the wisdom of different styles and teachers, she is grateful to her teacher Glyn Williams who has direct lineage from Grandmaster Cheng Man-Ch’ing and Jun Chi Taiji school with whom she has qualified as an instructor. She is a member of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.

Originally from Mexico, she trained and worked as a classical actor, exploring the depths of the human soul, and developing an understanding of a wide range of physical expression.
